SPORTHORSEFINDER was founded in 2001 by people who have an extreme passion for horses, sport, and competition. The site was created to connect buyers and sellers online for the sport of Endurance and to provide local sellers with a way to gain access to the worldwide market. Additionally, the SHF team used the site to place horses that were found in often obscure places like local stables, auction yards, or back yard sheds. Today, SHF provides six global communities that were designed on our original premise; the horse and the sport.

The Horse

People try to scientifically calculate the formula for perfection through conformation, breeding, and statistics. These are good indicators but as a talented eye can tell a horses spirit tips the scale.  We can"t measure it but we know "it" when we see it. A bond, that "it" between a horse and rider can produce greatness. We have been fortunate to find greatness and we believe there are many horses that given the right person and chance can achieve it.

Equestrian Sports/Disciplines

Equestrians come in all shapes, sizes and speeds. Some seek gold, and some relish a day at the barn. In general, eighty percent of an equestrian’s world is specific to their discipline. Training methods, competitions, activities, tack, and horses are specific and require discipline expertise. The remaining twenty percent such as discovering new treatments and medicines, looking for transport or farrier services are general and span disciplines.

Our goal is to help equestrians find the right horse and stay in the know about their sport. Discipline specific global communities help equestrians of all levels find the right horses, trainers, events, competitions, and resources so they can find what they are looking for quickly and focus on what they love to do.
